IROS 2026 Returns to Vancouver With 6,200 Paper Submissions
IROS 2026 will be held October 19-23 in Vancouver, Canada, and organizers confirmed 6,200 paper submissions this year — a 28% jump over 2025. Acceptance rates are expected to remain at approximately 45%, with final program announced in July.
This year's top submission categories are: foundation models for robotics (943 submissions), tactile sensing and manipulation (812), legged locomotion (708), and surgical robotics (514). A new "Embodied AI Safety" track received 287 submissions in its inaugural year.
Notable keynotes include Demis Hassabis (Google DeepMind), Marc Raibert (Boston Dynamics AI Institute), Daniela Rus (MIT CSAIL), and Sergey Levine (UC Berkeley/Physical Intelligence).
